I’ve been counting down the days for this one: The World of Drum & Bass Tour Part 2 is rolling through Cleveland on July 30th, and it’s stacked. The lineup is ridiculous: we’re talking Danny Byrd, Bladerunner, Inja, DJ SS, and Glitch City, all touching down at Mercury Music Lounge in Lakewood. If you think that’s it, you’re in for so much more. Graveyard Radio will be dropping a few features this week showcasing some of the local/regional talent playing @ W.O.D.N.B. – Cleveland.
Today, we meet Edificette. After spending years in the crowd repping Cleveland’s underground scene, she’s finally stepping behind the decks. It’s a long-overdue moment, and she’s ready to bring the energy she’s always admired. Edificette’s journey into electronic music began in 2005, the same year she found herself deep in the rave scene—and forever changed by it. Her earliest musical influences paint a vivid picture of her eclectic ear: the glitchyness of Squarepusher, the soulfulness of Herbie Hancock, and the experimental textures of the Mahavishnu Orchestra. From there, she dove headfirst into techno and industrial—citing icons like Frankie Bones, Dave Clarke, and The Horrorist—while simultaneously absorbing the foundational rhythms of drum & bass through legends like AK1200, Roni Size, and Mickey Finn.

For years, DJing felt like a distant dream—life, finances, and responsibilities always taking priority. But with a growing family and a household already buzzing with instruments for the kids, Edificette finally made a decision: it was time to invest in herself. She bought a Pioneer XZ setup and began training in February 2025 under the mentorship of Collin Schroeder (aka Syn). Their collaboration evolved into Syndroficette, a name rooted in the Greek word syndrofe, meaning comrade—a fitting label for a duo bound by shared rhythm and mutual support. Together, they’re part of Unity of Sound, a grassroots collective pushing community-focused rave culture in the Midwest.

Now, Edificette is stepping into the spotlight. With her debut performance on the World of Drum and Bass Tour in Cleveland, she’s proving that the long wait was worth it—and she’s just getting started.
And this DJ is a multi-genre queen! Taking a listen to Edificette’s most recent mix, Square Opposition 6, I instantly fell into the groove of gritty industrial soundscapes. The sound is raw, distorted, and eerie, giving that late-night warehouse energy. This is the kind of mix that rewards deep listening as it pushes the boundaries of the techno genre. With very few vocal tracks in the mix, I found myself focusing purely on the beat hypnotically. Undoubtedly, this mix will be my go-to for spacious, atmospheric, minimalistic relaxation. Check out Edificette’s Soundcloud below for her Square Opposition 6 mix!
