ANGEL AURA HAS A PASSION FOR MUSIC, DANCE, AND LIFE. TODAY SHE JOINS THE GRAVEYARD RADIO LIBRARY!

Got a hot new one for ya! I feel like it’s been a while since we got a new mix in. Hoping to bring them a little more frequent in the future. Today, Angel Aura has joined the flock at Graveyard Radio with some techo-ish, dark, and melodic flavors. This should get you guys warmed up a little for this weekend.

“I’m all about spreading positivity and want to uplift our community in Indianapolis by creating my own series of events that are cultivated as safe spaces for everyone to share.” – Angel aura

Sierra was put on my radar at the Green Velvet after-party I was covering when she was introduced to me by Becca Brainz. She had been mentioned on Graveyard Radio shortly after that in our article reviewing “Paddy Meltdown” at Meridian Room. Following that, Angel reached out to me one day to ask if I knew of any lady DJs looking for bookings that may not be on her radar, to let her know. After establishing she was looking for local and regional, you know I refered her to Miss Anita Bass, who has the low-down on lots of DJs. After that interaction and noticing all the work and upcoming shows Sierra had going for herself, I was like, “Yo! you want to put out a Graveyard Radio mix?” A week or so later, here we are.

Miss Aura told me she always had a passion for music, since her grandfather turned her on to classic rock as a kid. She was a dance instructor for 3 years in Chicago and is affiliated with The Chicago Sufflers. She started DJing just a few years back. Angel has been making a name for herself with her versatility and high-energy sets. She mentioned her family being from the Czech Republic, having a passion for Drum & Bass music, and loves playing anything on her eclectic radar. Angel was also responsible for organizing the first 3 “Femme Fatales”, a current on going all-womans monthly line-up at Monsterz Inc. Mrs.Hooligan, BroFi, K9, and Miss Amillionaire were named to me as part of her close circle of friend’s who inspire and influence her to push herself to put her all she can into DJing. Sierra is big on woman who empower and support one another.

Sierra’s teases us with a mix just over 30 minutes. It is a quick, but fun listen. Techno starts off deep, gets melodic, keeps the listener pretty engaged, and ends on some more catchy, more mainstream numbers. I loved that Green Velvet was included. Definitely looking forward to seeing what Angel is able to build in the future for herself.

Sierra has a few things on the schedule coming up. This Saturday at 4 PM, you can catch her at World Famous Hotboys Chicken playing a set, before heading over to this month’s “Femme Fatales” at Monsterz Inc.

Next, it’s emo music at Sundry & Vice Cocktail Bar @ Bottleworks Hotel. That will be popping off next Thursday.

June 13th, Angel Aura will be throwing down at The Rabbit Hole for “QUEERGXRL”. Sierra definitely putting in some work. Hope you guys enjoy the mix, get a chance to catch one of these shows, and have a great weekend!
