Checked in with Sloedwn, a.k.a. Jamie Kelly yesterday. The Connecticut DJ/ProducerI just dropped a new mix titled, “Sloetape 19!” It is one funky, chill-ass journey in beats. He continues to develop his evolving sound of minimal, dark disco, and deep house that is woven together very nicely.
Homie listed a bunch of the artists featured on the mix. You can check the links in his Instagram post. I’m a sucker for a DJ that pushes the producers they play in their mixes. I included the post so ya’ll can check that out.
Something else worth mentioning, I had been keeping my eyes out for the release of a limited edition physical cassette titled, “The Blue & White Tape,” that Kelly mentioned last week. This is what I had been watching out for when “Sloetape 19” surprised me. Graveyard Radio will continue to be watching out for that, passing the info along as we get it.
