DJ SWAMP recently posted on Instagram about his major label debut that celebrated it’s 20 year anniversary in September. Swamp had released an impressive amount of scratch records leading up to the LP’s release. More famously known as Beck’s touring DJ back then, the 1996 US DMC Champion released a full on masterpiece of his original beats, bars, and scratches that spans just over 54 minutes on the disc.
Almost just a year before the record’s release, I had seen DJ SWAMP perform in an abandoned bowling alley. That performance still stands out as one of the most mindblowing things I had witnessed behind the decks. He has been one of my favorite DJs since that performance. You can bet I burned the fuck out of this album with the amount of spins I gave it back in the day!

As we saw in the Instagram post, “Never is Now” had a large impact on DJ SWAMP’s lustrous career that is now coming up on 3 decades, and is still going strong. Swamp will be playing next in Honolulu on November 6th, and then playing back on the mainland November 12th in Arizona. Peep the flyer below.
