Hey everybody, Smile back again with another review. Tonight I’m bringing you coverage of the Paul Oakenfold United Champions Tour at The Vogue. The promoter for tonight show is Forty5 Presents. The Vogue is conveniently located at 6259 North College Ave in Broad Ripple on the near northside. There is a parking garage directly across the street to make parking a bit less tricky for this venue. The Vogue is a safe and secure venue with ID checks, a full security scan before entering, and a definite presence throughout the venue. The artists performing tonight are as follows: Paul Oakenfold with support from Liquid Todd.

Braden and I arrived when doors opened so we could catch everything. I touched base with someone with Forty5 Presents to let them know who I was and what I was doing tonight. They were nice but busy and I totally understand. I like to let promoters know my presence and what I am going to do for their event. I’m glad we where there early because Liquid Todd was already on stage at time of doors.
The only support DJ tonight was Liquid Todd. Liquid Todd is an award-winning DJ from SiriusXM Known for his BPM radio show and live performances. He can be heard on #betaBPM show (Tuesdays, 10pm EST on SiriusXM channel 52) Liquid Todd was nominated in 2017 for Radio Show of the Year for Electronic Music Awards. Liquid Todd was the first DJ to play EDM on commercial radio as well. He had really good crowd interactions. He was passing out snacks to the people riding the rail up front. He was warming up the crowd as they trickled in. The turnout was light at first but filled in more towards the end of Liquid Todd’s set. After his set I did catch up with him and caught a pic with him. Actually he looked up us here on Graveyardradio.net and took a picture with me! He asked me to follow up with more info on what we have going on with the site and Wax Radio Indy.

Paul Oakenfold was next on the decks. It was odd seeing the headliner on by 10. I was kind of blown back but I was here for it. Paul Oakenfold is an absolute legend in the EDM music world. Paul Oakenfold is an English record producer, remixer, and electronic music DJ. He has created over 100 remixes for over 100 artists including U2, Moby, Madonna, Britney Spears, Massive Attack, The Cure, New Order, The Rolling Stones, The Stone Roses and Michael Jackson. Oakenfold was voted the No. 1 DJ in the World twice in 1998 and 1999 by DJ Magazine. He played all his big and well known tracks and kept the dance floor moving the entire time!

All in all this was a nice show. It seemed to track very fast, but that could be because there was only 2 act tonight. Both Paul Oakenfold and Liquid Todd put on great performances for the crowd. I like to thank Forty5 Presents for bringing out a legend like Paul Oakenfold to little ol Indianapolis on a Thursday night. This show originally was planned for another date and was postponed. I’m glad it didn’t get canceled and still had a good turn out. I had a great time and look forward to see who Forty5 Presents and The Vouge brings in next. Make sure to check out graveyardradio.net for more content and more great event reviews! Until next time, Keep Smiling! 🙂
