THE CASUALTIES ROCK BLACK CIRCLE – 5/13/26

Hey everyone! Smile back again with another concert review! Tonight my journey takes me back to Black Circle. Black Circle is located off of 46th and Keystone. They have a nice free parking lot and a big outdoor seating area for between sets and merch booth overflow. The inside of Black Circle is small yet effective. The nice thing is this venue while it has a bar it also hosts all ages shows and in good weather outside events as well. Tonight Stranger Attractions Presents have brought in Punk Legends The Casualties Detonate Tour. They had support from 3 other opening acts. Lets dive into the show!

The first band to take the stage was Republikan Sexblanket. They are a 1980’s Trash Punk band from right here in Indianapolis, Indiana. Their lead singer reminded me of a mix between GG Allen and Chris Farley. They were a good time!

Adictos Al kaos was up next and they are another Indianapolis based Latino Crossover Thrash/Punk Band. They had great stage presence and kept the crowd engaged. I kind of thought that they sounded like Burjeria. I spoke with the lead vocalist and he said they are working on new stuff but to keep checking their socials for more info. I cant link up a spotify link for them because they dont have that up and going as of the review.

The Drowns were up next. They are from Seattle Washington. They are one of the hardest working Punk Bands in the industry. They have a pretty good following of fans at the Indy show. I thought they sounded like The Dropkick Murphy’s mixed with The Decedents. I liked the song Ketamine and Cola and Them Rats. I spoke with the lead vocalist for a bit and i was really impressed with The Drowns. They had a good message and I highly recommend checking them out.

Finally it was time for The Casualties to take the stage. A little fun fact about this band. Not the last time The Casualties played Indy at the Hi Fi, but the time before that at The Hoosier Dome I got to carry in the bands gear. It was when Jorge was still the lead vocalist so its been a grip.

In case you don’t know who The Casualties are here is a little info about them. The Casualties are an American punk rock band from New York City, founded by vocalist Jorge Herrera, Hank Fischer (guitar), Colin Wolf (vocals), Mark Yoshitomi (bass) and Yurich Hooker (drums) in 1990. In July 2017 the original front man Jorge Herrera had officially retired from touring.  As of 2022, the band consists of members Jake Kolatis (guitarist), Marc Meggers (drums), Doug Wellmon (bass), and David Rodriguez (vocals). They have 17 albums and are currently on the Detonate Tour.

They played a 20 song set list. They played my favorite songs Tomorrow Belongs To Us, We Are All We Have, Unknown Soldier, Ugly Bastard. They didn’t play Brick Wall Justice or Made in N.Y.C. I was able to snag a picture with the current lead vocalist David Rodriguez at the end of the show.

All in all another great show under my belt. I had a great time! Thank you to all the bands, Stranger Attractions Presents, and Black Circle. Hopefully I can bring you more coverage of Stranger Attractions Presents shows in the future. Also make sure to check back in here at Graveyardradio.net for more of our great event reviews. Until next time folks, Keep Smiling!
