GWAR DESTROYS CENTURY MUSIC HALL 04/03/26

Hey everyone! Smile back again with another concert review. Tonight my journey brings me to Century Music Hall (formerly known as Piere’s Entertainment Center) located off of I-69 at 5629 St Joe Road in Ft Wayne Indiana. Century Music Hall is a Large Music Venue housed in a strip mall. There is a huge free parking lot outside and plenty of food drinks and of course music inside. Tonight is the Gor-Gor Strikes Back Tour with GWAR, Soulfly, and King Parrot.

First to take the stage was King Parrot. King Parrot are an Australian grindcore band formed in Melbourne in 2010. They have released four studio albums: Bite Your Head Off (2012), Dead Set (2015), Ugly Produce (2017) and A Young Persons’ Guide to King Parrot (2025) the original line-up of Matt Young (vocals), Ed Lacey and Ari White (guitar), Slatts Everday (bass) and drummer Matt Rizzo. White, Rizzo and Lacey had come directly from their previous band Watchdog Discipline, Slatts Everday was a member of Warrnambool rock band Cockfight Shootout. Lacey had also been a member of The Berzerker for several years and Rizzo was formerly with Blood Duster. They played a 9 song set and had the crowd revved up from jump. the pit was pretty brutal for an opening band with a circle pit and a wall of death. Shit On the Liver and Fuck You And The Horse You Rode In On were my favorite songs of King Parrots set.

Soulfly took the stage next. Honestly I was more hyped to see Soulfly this tour. Soulfly is a Brazilian-American heavy metal band formed in Phoenix, Arizona in 1997. Soulfly is led by former Sepultura front man Max Cavalera, who formed the band after he left the Brazilian group in 1996. To date the band has released thirteen studio albums, one tour EP, twenty-three singles, one video album, and twelve music videos. Their debut album, Soulfly, was released on April 21, 1998, while their most recent album, Chama, was released in October 2025. They absolutely killed it with an 11 song set. They had 2 huge pits going with one huge wall of death. They did a nod to Slipknot by getting everyone to get down and then Jumpdafuckup! They played my favorite songs No Hope = No Fear, Eye for an Eye Back to the Primitive.

Finally it was time for The Almighty GWAR to take the stage. I didn’t even bother to get a picture of GWAR on stage for 2 reasons. We were smooshed in assholes to elbows in the pit and of course I didn’t want to get my phone destroyed by the copious amounts of blood that was about to be unleashed onto us all. With that being said this tour was Gor-Gor Strikes Back Tour. The set opened with a egg on the stage. Baby Gor-Gor was inside and ReXoR was there to unleash Gor-Gor and unleash world domination. Along the set of course Gor-Gor grew up and GWAR killed Trump, Bill Clinton, and Kristi Noem and a handful of other characters. Near the end the fully grown Gor-Gor took the stage and both him and ReXoR were destroyed and GWAR lived to destroy again. They played a 17 song set with an encore. They started the show with Fuck This Place and ended with Sick of You. They even did a cover of Pink Pony Club by Chappell Roan. By the end of the show we were all covered in blood and it was absolute blast. I found a recording of the ENTIRE show I linked it up down below!

All in all this show was great. The only thing that could of been better is the lighting at this venue was all behind the stage. I’m sure that was because of GWAR and the blood, but it made taking pictures and seeing things on stage a real pain. I guess you take the good with the bad and as always GWAR was good time! I haven’t missed a tour since 98. I look forward to see what other shows come to The Century Music Hall. In the meantime you can always check back in here at graveyardradio.net for more coverage of great shows. Until next time Keep Smiling! 🙂
