Gregorian is a German band headed by Frank Peterson that performs Gregorian chant-inspired versions of modern pop and rock songs. The band features both vocal harmony and instrumental accompaniment. Gregorian is a spin off of the iconic world beat new-age band Enigma which Frank Peterson was a part of. Gregorian has released ten albums in their Masters of Chant series and a number of other albums, including a Christmas album and several compilations. They have also released two types of video album; live concerts and music video albums featuring the singers in various surroundings. They have a large catalogue and they do a great job of performing their most popular songs.

In this song they used green lasers on their fingers and it looked really cool.

In this song they did a ultraviolet ribbon dance that was pretty neat but hell to photograph. 🙂

In this song by Eric Clapton Tears from Heaven they used mirrors and reflected lights off the stage.

They came out in the crowd and sung The Simon and Garfunkel song The Sound of Silence Acoustic.

Female Vocalist Amelia Brightman featured in the middle of this picture. During this song she lit fireballs and held them in her hand while singing.

Gunther Laudahan one of the guitarist he also played percussion. not pictured was also a synth/piano player and another guitarist.

All in all Gregorian performed 20 songs. Only 3 of which were Enigma tracks. The Dream of the Dolphin, Sadness Pt. 1, and Mea Culpa. Honestly to hear those 3 songs live after following Enigma since the 90’s was a bucket list item for me. I really like Enigma it’s just really chill music, and if you really listen even deeper it is down tempo break beats for all us music nerds out there. We are extremely lucky to have Gregorian stop in little old Carmel Indiana to perform for us. Until next time make sure to check out graveyardradio.net for more great reviews! Also don’t forget… Keep Smiling! 🙂
