PRESS RELEASE – APPROACH RECORDS 2026 – BY DAVID SATURN

Approach Records 2026 arrives as a 16-track statement piece that serves as a definitive documentation of the label’s strongest releases from the past year. More than a retrospective, the project captures the sound, momentum, and artistic direction of an underground platform built by and for underground producers.

At its core, Approach Records 2026 is a drum & bass collection. The tracks are built around heavy bass, tight percussion, and energetic arrangements. A few songs explore trap and UK garage, adding variety while keeping the overall flow intact. The moods change from dark and intense to trippy and dancefloor-ready, but the deep bass consistently drives the music forward.

The EP reflects a pivotal year for Approach Records. While the label continued to work with producers from around the globe, 2025 placed a renewed emphasis on local talent, reinforcing the idea that regional scenes can be just as influential as international hubs. The result is a compilation that feels grounded in community while maintaining global relevance.

Returning label regulars including 45Thieves, Purple Rain, David Saturn, JoOn, and ULTRABOY provide continuity and polish, reinforcing the sound that listeners have come to associate with Approach Records. Alongside them are several standout new additions that signal the label’s forward momentum.

SIGL emerges as a key artist to watch. His debut Approach Records release, “Tension,” accompanied by a remix from David Saturn, marked a strong first impression and quickly positioned him as an up-and-coming drum & bass producer. His contribution to Approach Records 2026 further cements that reputation.

DrGoo brings a distinctive edge with “Love It,” a trap-influenced track that stands apart through its unique sonic identity. In addition to his production work, DrGoo co-runs Grimey Grooves, an Ohio-based electronic music label, creating a meaningful regional connection between two platforms pushing underground music forward.

Ray Uptown adds veteran depth to the compilation. A minimal drum & bass producer with releases on respected labels such as Metalheadz, Dispatch, and Flexout Audio, his involvement links Approach Records to a broader lineage of established D&B culture.

Tracks from Approach Records 2026 have already seen support across global dancefloors and online streaming platforms including Skankout, Beats Per Minute Radio, Code Red Radio, and others—highlighting the reach and resonance of the label’s output beyond its immediate community.

Approach Records 2026 ultimately stands as a statement of longevity and intent. It confirms that Approach Records is firmly established and poised for continued growth. The release makes clear that the label is not only documenting its past year, but setting the tone for what’s ahead in 2026.

The EP is available on all major platforms, including Beatport, Juno Download, SoundCloud, Spotify, and more. Approach Records 2026 is officially released on Friday, January 2, 2026.
