DJ STEADY B’S FIRST EP RELEASED! 8 DAY TOUR TO INDIANA COMING SOON!

“Beeps Bleeps & Things” is the name of DJ Steady B’s first EP, the same name as his popular Twitch stream that has continued growing in it’s popularity since it’s conception during lockdown. Shannon has hit the production board a couple times since then as well. Yesterday his first full EP dropped. It is available on all platforms. However, we highly encourage all DJs to purchase it direct from his website. Now, in Graveyard Radio style, we going to break it down track-by-track below.

The title track was originally started as the intro for Steady B’s live stream and continued to develop as a track. The tune is what is in the name, my friend. The blippity-bloops are hypnotic. These bleeps are sending messages to space in morse code, telling aliens to get down with us and party. A nice tight snare and low warm fuzzy bass wave, this track oozes the noises of robots raving out your speakers.

“Wiggle Bounce Jiggle” sounds a lot heavier to me, with a little more for the streets than sci-fi movie compared to the title track. This broken-beat tune hits the speakers with a satisfying pound and with a synth that takes me back to an 80’s break dance battle movie. A robot break dance battle movie…. maybe we on some sort of sci-fi-type shit theme on this one. Steady B always take me back to what it used to be about – fun. You can tell he’s stil got that 90’s raver in his blood.

SEE! FUN! Now we are in a video game. “A Late Night Win” was made with a midi controller Shannon had been testing out late at night. We have all kinds of vocalizations, robots 🤖 and the like. UP-DOWN, LEFT-RIGHT, ALL NIGHT! BOUNCE IT! BOUNCE IT! I may have ad-libbed some of that. The track is well layered. I love the bombastic old-school drum line! All these sounds like machines. The Nightrider-esque synth rhythm is fun. An overall very fun release from our friend, Steady B.

Steady B will be back in Indiana soon and will be doing an entire tour here! All information will be delivered via his website. Some dates and venues have been announced already. You can also connect to his socials over there as well. Unfortunately I will be away for a month taking care of my youngest son during all these dates while his mom recovers from surgery. I hope all our other Indiana & regional homies get a chance to see him play!
