Yesterday, the Indianapolis underground lost a great person. There are so many things in my current era that would not have evolved or even happened if it wasn’t for Jason. Every person he knew, he touched in a truly loving way. He built people up, and stayed constantly focused on grass roots movements in the scene. He brought techno alive in Indianapolis in 2019. It was never about all the material reasons most people involve themselves in these days for. It was about making people happy, making sure they were safe and having a good time. He brought all of us who were there in that moment 5 years ago, a feeling most of us have not felt since the 90’s. Personally, it was not only an honor to spin for him at his benefit show in April, that moment was and will always be, one of the greatest moments for me as a DJ. I don’t care if I never make money DJing again because of that moment. I missed being able to thank him for that by 24 hours. So Jason, I’m going to tell you here. After crying on the phone with my 2 best friends I have because of you, then in the arms of the person who I wouldn’t even know what techno was if it wasn’t for them, and watching 100’s & 100’s of posts going by in my feed memorializing you, I’m saying thank you… on the platform that you helped inspire. Fate is real thing. You are amazing and I know you are flying high. I never saw a selfish moment in the times I knew you. You were for the people. I’m bumping these Acid.tv mixes all day, homie. I love you. I know you see us. I know you’re with us. We’ll see you again, at the party on the other side. Be cool, buddy.
