I love me a throwback, so when this press release came across my desk, I was in a dirty enough mood to put it into ink this week. I’ve been on a big Lords of Acid kick again, I also can’t get enough of My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult. Something about the shady sounds of 80’s/90’s urban city nightlife gets me all excited. It’s over the top, loud, and makes me feel trashy. Screamin’ Rachael hit the spot when I started to listen.

The E.P. will feature 2 tracks from the “Disco 3000” LP Screamin’ Rachael dropped last year. “Bitch” (D BEAT Long Version) is a driving raw force, with a low bass groove. While Marcus Mixx’s remix of “Acid Trip – Unending Journey Mixx” is a relentless assault of hypnotic 303 acid bassline goodness.
For me, the B side of this release was the real meat and potatoes. DJ Chip Chop put down an approximately 15 minute MEGA MIX of tracks from Rachael’s “Disco 3000 LP” with his own twist and turns, combined with some fantastic ad libs by Screamin’ Rachael, makes this a must listen for any club kid at heart.
The vinyl pressing is limited to 150 copies and hand numbered. Release date is May 9th, 2025, digital version will also be available on all platforms. You can pre-order here at DECKS.DE, JUNO.CO.UK, or here at DEEJAY.DE.
Trax Records has a legacy that goes back 40 years in house music. Doing my research I discovered another release to watch out for. “Rising Again” will be coming out to celebrate the milestone, with proceeds of the album going to charity. I will be anxiously awaiting for more info on that to hit my inbox, so I may possibly give our readers my thoughts on that as well.
