Hey everyone this is Smile here bringing you a review of the GWAR – Age of Entitlement Tour 9/14/24.
GWAR at The Vouge is always a great concert. This year they toured with The Native Howl, Brat, and Brujeria.
GWAR always tours with some pretty interesting or famous acts. The native howl is thrash grass. It’s not the first time they have toured with GWAR. I saw them a few tours back with GWAR and Necrogoblikon in Ft Wayne. Thrash metal with a fiddle It works and it’s great! Brat was a hard hitting deathgrind/hardcore (or what they call barbiegrind/bimboviolence) band from New Orleans. Up next was Brujeria. They perform under a guise of Mexican drug smugglers but over the years many famous musicians from other bands have graced the Brujeria line up. Some of those bands include Fear Factory, Dead Kenedys, Napalm Death, Cradel of Filth, Dimmu Borgir, and Carcass.
Finally after all of that GWAR finally hits the stage. Let me go into this review of Gwar I have not missed a GWAR show in Indiana since 1998. Of course the radio host got decapitated during the first song which sent blood spraying a good 30 feet out over the crowd. Others that were “killed” along the 18 song Thrash Metal set were the likes of Taylor Swift, Benjamin Netanyahu and other creature’s. The set ended with F this place and leaving anyone with in 30 foot of the stage absolutely drenched in blood.
GWAR is a great show, wild, and out of control for sure. Think Disney on Ice meets Thrash Metal. I highly recommend that you see them once just to take in the insanity. Until next time keep smiling!
