WE CATCH UP WITH RONDELL ADAMS AS WE DROP HIS EXCLUSIVE MIX ON GRAVEYARD RADIO COURTESY OF TRINIDAD TRAXX.

It’s been a minute since we got some flavorful Techno on Graveyard Radio, so this week we went big with an eclectic exclusive mix from Chicago’s own; Rondell Adams (aka) Ron AD! This OG military veteran of a DJ, Producer, and recording artist has achieved legendary status long ago. If you are not familiar, Rondell’s career, it encompasses more than 4 decades.

Music is in Rondell Adams blood because of his father Gordon Keith being a serious force in the Gary, IN music scene. Gordon is credited as the original producer for the Jackson 5 after seeing them led to signing contracts for recording. That led to Rondell growing up around people like Earth, Wind & Fire practicing shoulder to shoulder.

Rondell has produced cuts side by side with some of the industry’s top talent like DJ Urban, DJ Deeon, Robert Armani, Gettoblaster, and Microdot to name a few. Not to mention sharing the stage with pioneers such as Frankie Knuckles, Paul Johnson, Gene Hunt and Traxman. These tracks have found homes on such notable labels as iHeart Techno Records, Chicago Factory Records, Chicago Underground, Dance Mania, Traxmen Records as well as his father’s label Steel Town Records. As a matter of fact, word is on the street that Rondell Adams is in the studio right now and has new music slated for release with a few of our Chicago House and Techno favorites that will be sure to induce bass face with a bit of speaker freaking!

This mix is one for the books. Featuring 28 tracks and clocked in at just under an hour, this set never lets up. Adams mixes one track to the next with unrelentless energy. Rondell serves up tunes from Glaskin, Exos, Funk Assualt, and Microdot just to name a few. Adams has inserted some gems that even WE could not source! We are also blessed to have a sneak peek at some as yet to be released production from Rondell. See if you can find it in the mix like a Where’s Waldo. Let us know what you think by leaving a comment on SoundCloud.

Also worth mentioning, Rondell Adams has a clothing line set to drop some new merch and is even in the market to gain a few live PA bookings into 2025. Live PA with synths and drum machines comes as no surprise since he has always been around session musicians and professional producers alike, giving him access to both the old school tried and truest of gear and the biggest baddies on the market. Never one to shy away from new experiences, Rondell is more than willing to spend time with new equipment and experiment with new sounds.

Rondell Adams is also under new management recently. With his addition to the Trinidad Traxx Artist Management roster being announced, that couples him alongside other key innovators of electronic music like DJ Keoki and DJ Kos!

Catch Rondell November 15th in the second room on the iHeart Techno stage of the Crystal Method, RITM, Keith Mackenzie show in Aurora, IL at the Piazza by Afterlife. get your tickets @ Eventbrite here.
