Govan Jones caught my attention in my feed on a random post where he was talkin’ some shit. It made me laugh, so I checked him out to see he had produced some slamming tracks and hoping all over the place almost every weekend to throw down behind the decks. I reached out and before too long I had one banging house mix from him as an exclusive for graveyardradio.net.
Jones has an eccentric sense of style and character behind in stage and you can tell as soon as you lay eyes on him. He’s also got the skills to back it up. In this set, he brings and plethora of jackin’ and funky tracks to groove your feet to, mixes are blended nice and smooth. I scored on getting this one added to the collective. With tunes like “Freak” by Jeff Sorkowitz and the Mendo remix of Pedro Silva’s “We Are Back”, this mix has me getting down in my cubicle.
The former MC, turned DJ/Producer is originally from Columbus. However, he currently resides in Detroit, grinding on putting out tracks and playing shows. His latest release from June, a collaborative effort with Derek Vo and DEROIA, has acquired over 23,000 streams on Spotify.
