Another amazing artist at the forefront of Indy’s blossoming electronic music scene is High Rise Hooligan. Consistently impressing with each new release, Hooligan has been a force to be reckoned with. In addition to running a weekly event on Wednesdays at The Patron Saint, showcasing the best in bass music and EDM for approximately the last year, H.R.H. has still found time to create great music and deliver high-energy performances at a number of shows.
Last Wednesday Hooligan dropped a set of all original tracks. Mixes with all original tracks are always something that peaks our interest at Graveyard Radio, so I had to check it out. I was not disappointed. The set was recorded live at Old National Center during H.R.H.’s supporting slot for Kaivon’s Ultra Violet Tour.

This mix is as infectious as Jesse’s feel-good personality. He’s becoming a true master of his craft, elevating beyond the typical dubstep sounds. Hooligan has crafted stunning soundscapes, seamlessly incorporating elements of Bass-House, Electro, and even a splash of peak-time I clocked at about 140 BPM. While occasionally we get short dips into some darker territory, he skillfully brings the vibe imeaditatly back up. The tracks feature bright, colorful sounds, showcasing H.R.H.’s exceptional talent as both a producer and DJ. This 30-minute mix is a must-listen, not to be missed!

That brings us to this week’s “The Hangout”. H.R.H. will be hosting his weekly Wednesday Night mentioned earlier. This week is huge! I’m jealous because headlining this week is Planet Blood! The most recent project from Jarrod Linne of Shy Guy Says fame. Plant Blood is the nastiest of heavy bass music. The project runs on inspiration from horror movies and heavy metal. His latest release is a collaboration with Figure, producing the famous Slayer tune, Raining Blood.
There is also going to be some other amazing talent in tow as well. Be sure to swing by the event page to RSVP for a night of amazing music.
