This week we got a special treat from Indiana native, Awakened Warrior a.k.a. Rick Sanchez. Sanchez gave a mix of all original tracks to Graveyrad Radio.
The self proclaimed Warrior has been spinning for way over a decade, playing out his first time in 2010. Since then he has played all through the midwest, opening for acts such as DJ Starscream, Roy Davis, Paul Anthony, and more.
There are 2 unreleased tracks in the mix. 1 Love and Additive Love will both be out on a new EP in September. His past releases have always been themed around aliens, other universes, or dimensions. There is a thematic change with this new release. Sanchez had this to say about the new music.
“My first EP was ‘Abducted.’ I made music for the underground people. When they’re partying, I want them to feel like they’re being abducted for an hour in their mind. This new EP is all about love. This world needs more love in it. Whether you’re Black, White, Hispanic, LGBTQ, music brings us together in a certain way. It’s the universal language that brings us all together.”
